Mr Machin provides private surgical opinion, joint injections, shockwave and surgery for his sub-specialty of disorders of the foot and ankle.
Working in England and North Wales he sees patients through their insurers or on a self-pay basis.
He is happy to see self-pay patients without the need for a GP referral letter.

Mr Machin has been providing expert orthopaedic opinion in personal injury cases since 2013, and has now reported on around 3,500 cases. He receives instructions from a wide panel of solicitors up and down the United Kingdom.
Mr Machin can examine clients in all of his private rooms listed below, and is pleased to receive instructions directly from solicitors.

NHS
Mr Machin practises at The Countess of Chester Hospital, having previously spent nine years as a Consultant at Mid-Cheshire Hospital Foundation NHS Trust. Whilst at Mid-Cheshire he was involved in medical leadership, first as Associate Foundation Programme Director (five years), then Clinical Director for Trauma & Orthopaedics (two and a half years), and finally as Associate Medical Director (three years).
Mr Machin concluded his orthopaedic training in an internationally recognised higher surgical training fellowship at Wirral University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, during this fellowship he received advanced training in the management of complex elective, revision and trauma foot and ankle conditions.
Prior to this he completed six years of specialist orthopaedic training in the Mersey Deanery, this followed on from his core surgical training after qualifying with Honours from The University of Liverpool School of Medicine in 2003.
